The 2024 Lincoln Navigator L now available at Stivers Lincoln is one of the most popular options among full-size luxury SUVs, and one the reasons for that is its sheer overall size. Most of the competing full-size models, including the 2024 Lexus LX 600, which we’ll discuss further in this review, are notably smaller. With the Navigator L, you have enough legroom for adults in all three rows, substantial cargo space with all seats in use and 8,400 pounds of towing power, and there are two core trim levels to consider: the well-equipped Reserve L and the high-end Black Label L. The LX 600, which has a similar starting MSRP, is offered in five trim levels, which are the LX, Premium, F Sport Handling, Luxury and Ultra Luxury.

The 2024 Lincoln Navigator L has a 9.6-inch minimum ground clearance, a 131.6-inch wheelbase and a 221.9-inch overall length, which is approximately 18.5 feet. The 2024 Lexus LX 600, on the other hand, has a 7.9-inch minimum ground clearance, a 112.2-inch wheelbase and a 200.6-inch overall length, which is about 16.7 feet. Aluminum wheels are standard in both cases. The Navigator Reserve L and Black Label L both have 22-inch wheels. The Lexus has 20-inch wheels and offers 22-inch wheels as an option.

The 2024 Lincoln Navigator L comes standard in an eight-passenger configuration. Stivers Lincoln also offers second-row captain’s chairs, which lowers seating capacity to seven. The 2024 Lexus LX 600 comes standard in a five-passenger configuration. You have to move beyond the base trim to get the third row and also second-row captain’s chairs for seven, and if you opt for the top trim, the third row is again deleted for seating for four. The seven-passenger configurations are by far the most popular with consumers in this segment, and the Navigator L distinguishes itself by offering 36 inches of dedicated cargo space compared to just 11 in the Lexus. The Lincoln is also superior when it comes to legroom. It offers 43.9, 42.6 and 40.9 inches in the first, second and third row, respectively, while the Lexus gives you just 41.1, 36.6 and 31.1 inches, which isn’t a lot of room for adult passengers.
Lincoln Navigator L Mechanical specs
The Lincoln Navigator L is a four-wheel-drive SUV and has a 10-speed automatic transmission mated to a turbocharged 3.5L V6 that makes 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. An optional trailering packages adds a Class IV receiver hitch, four- and seven-pin wiring, low-range gearing, an integrated trailer brake controller, trailer sway control and trailer reverse assist. It allows you to tow up to 8,400 pounds. The LX 600 is also a 4WD vehicle. It has a 10-speed automatic mated to a turbo 3.4L V6: 409 hp and 479 lb.-ft. Trailering equipment is optional, and it can tow up to 8,000 pounds.

The Navigator has a 13.2-inch touch screen with all of the advanced infotainment features you expect at this price point. The Lexus is similar but has a 12.3-inch upper screen and a 7-inch lower screen. The trailering technologies available with the Navigator are more sophisticated than those offered with the LX 600. The base driver-assistance suite is more robust in the Lincoln as well and even includes some features that you can’t get with the Lexus, such as evasive steering assist.
